    The TN Department of Human Services is accepting applications for 3 Human Resource Analyst III positions in Nashville.  The positions include:

    1. Time and Labor - HR Analyst III - this position performs duties pertaining to FMLA, payroll, insurance, inputting time sheets and managing exceptional and payable time. 

    2. Transactions - HR Analyst III- this position will perform duties and supervise transactions pertaining to the hiring and onboarding process, and inputting transactions to update information pertaining to the employee. 

    3. HR Liaison - HR Analyst 3- this position will be responsible for coordinating the Employee Suggestion Program, maintaining the agency knowledge and skill database, coordinating the agency charitable giving campaign and agency blood drives, and will interact with all levels of the agency.  This will involve written communication and presentations and may require some travel. 

    Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to three years of professional human resources work.

    The City of Bartlett, TN is seeking applications for the position of Personnel Director.  This is an appointed position and will work under the general direction of the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer to direct and control the City's Personnel/Human Resources function, including the general supervision of assigned personnel.  The Personnel Director is responsible for recruitment and selection, training, policy administration, compensation and benefits for the city.

    The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resource Management or a closely related field; plus a minimum of seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience in personnel management to include some supervisory experience or equivalent education, training and or experience.  The applicant must pass a background check, physical, psychological and drug test.  MBA, MPA, professional certification by SHRM or IPMA-HR and five years municipal management/supervisory experience preferred, but not required.

    Are you responsible for your organizations' retirement plan.  The Plan Sponsor University (TPSU) will be offering a free half-day fiduciary training program on Feb. 24th, 2016 from 8:00am - 2:00pm at Vanderbilt University.  The program will be held in the Student Life Center (Board of Trust Room), 310 25th Avenue South.

    The program has been pre-approved for 5 SHRM and HRCI Re-certification credits. There are reserved parking spaces in the Student Life Center Garage.
    You access the garage from 25th Ave S across from Memorial Gym into ‘Vanderbilt Place’, driving behind Schulman Center going into Student Life Center. 20 parking spaces are paid for through TPSU Program.

    The University of TN - Municipal Technical Advisory Service is offering a 2016 Employment Law Update.  The session will explore recent legislative actions affecting the public sector.  The session will address the FLSA Overtime Changes, the DOL Regulatory Agenda, the EEOC Ban the Box initiative, the ACA, FMLA, same sex benefits and many other topics and trends.

    The sessions will be conducted by the two MTAS HR Consultants: John Grubbs, SPHR, IPMA-CP, SHRM-CP and Richard Stokes, PHR, IPMA-CP, SHRM-CP.  The class runs from 8:30am - 12:30pm.

    The City of Bartlett is looking to fill the position of Health and Safety Officer for the city.  The position will assist the Director of Finance in administration and maintenance of the City of Bartlett and Bartlett City School's Risk Management program and coordinate with coverage providers.

    Under general supervision, performs confidential human resources-related tasks.  Participates in human resources-related research projects; responsible for administration within the human resources department of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority.   Maintains accurate and confidential records and personnel files in accordance with the MNAA Records Management System.

    Analyzes, prepares and scans personnel documents into records management system.  Provides support to the human resources staff for a variety of projects in the areas of employee relations, training, compensation, benefits and recruitment .

    Prepares monthly report for Tennessee Department of Labor. Assists with the hiring process. Maintains and orders office supplies for the department.  Composes routine memorandums, reports, and correspondence; knowledge of labor/ human resources related policies, regulations and practices.

    High school graduate.  Knowledge of standard office practices and equipment; knowledge of general human resources practices and procedures. Some college preferred. Knowledge of the provisions of laws, ordinances, and procedures affecting human resources administration and organizational operations.

    Proficiency typically gained through three (3) years of increasingly responsible human resources-related work experience.
