    Under general supervision, performs confidential human resources-related tasks.  Participates in human resources-related research projects; responsible for administration within the human resources department of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority.   Maintains accurate and confidential records and personnel files in accordance with the MNAA Records Management System.

    Analyzes, prepares and scans personnel documents into records management system.  Provides support to the human resources staff for a variety of projects in the areas of employee relations, training, compensation, benefits and recruitment .

    Prepares monthly report for Tennessee Department of Labor. Assists with the hiring process. Maintains and orders office supplies for the department.  Composes routine memorandums, reports, and correspondence; knowledge of labor/ human resources related policies, regulations and practices.

    High school graduate.  Knowledge of standard office practices and equipment; knowledge of general human resources practices and procedures. Some college preferred. Knowledge of the provisions of laws, ordinances, and procedures affecting human resources administration and organizational operations.

    Proficiency typically gained through three (3) years of increasingly responsible human resources-related work experience.

    The Nashville Area Office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) invites the public to attend an open house on July 29 to celebrate the civil rights agency's 50th anniversary.

    WHEN: July 29, 2015 from 1:00 p. m. to 2:30 p. m.
    WHERE: EEOC Nashville Area Office, 220 Athens Way, Suite 350, Nashville, Tenn.

    The public will be able to meet and speak with the staff and celebrate the agency's accomplishments, including the ongoing work of EEOC and the challenges it faces in the 21st century. The theme for the event is "Celebrating the EEOC's 50th Anniversary for Justice and Equality in the Workplace." Refreshments will be provided. On-street parking is available in a large lot behind the building.

    EEOC was created by the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which was signed on July 2, 1964, and the agency began operation one year later, on July 2, 1965.

    The City of Winchester, TN is seeking applications for file the position of Human Resources Manager.  Under the general supervision of the City Administrator, the Human Resource Manager is to provide responsive customer service to City of Winchester employees and internal departments while managing all employment and benefit related activities.  In addition, the HR Manager will coordinate all training activities, including conducting needs assessment, planning and implementing in-hours training.  The Human Resource Manager will have knowledge of city, state and federal policies, programs and practices related to HR Management.  The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration or equivalent with five (5) years of HR experience.

    This position is responsible for the oversight of the risk management and other compliance functions and is responsible for assisting with the direction and oversight of the human resources functions.   It is classified as exempt and the entry salary for this position is $4805 per month; actual starting pay will be dependent on qualifications. 

    Minimum requirements are a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of two year’s related work experience specifically in risk management; Valid TN driver’s license or ability to obtain same.  Possession of or ability to obtain job related appropriate certification(s).

    Preferred qualifications:  local government work experience; directly safety related

    The University of TN is asking for your assistance in identifying a well-qualified and diverse pool of applicants for this key Human Resources leadership team position. The individual selected must have significant leadership and human resources experience.

    The associate vice chancellor reports to the vice chancellor for Human Resources and will be responsible for a broad and complex set of assignments, including:

    * Represents Human Resources by attending all Employee Relations group meetings, Exempt Staff Council meetings, Faculty Senate meetings, and all commission meetings on the Knoxville campus

    * Leads HR strategic planning for the Knoxville campus

    * Provides leadership for the Knoxville HR team and works collaboratively with the System HR team and Human Resources Officers statewide

    * Provides policy and procedure development and interpretation, program development and implementation, and university compliance with certain state and federal laws

    * Manages relations with academic and employee organizations on the Knoxville campus

    * Consults with university leadership and managers on the Knoxville campus to assess HR needs and issues and determines appropriate responses

    * Regularly attends and communicates HR issues to faculty and staff groups at the university.
