    The City of Pigeon Forge is seeking applicants for the position of Risk Manager. This position will provide professional and administrative work involving managing risk exposures to the city and other human resource related functions for the City of Pigeon Forge. Activities associated with the job include, but are not limited to:

    • Responsible for identifying risk exposures within governmental operations, assessing potential impact of the risks, evaluating likelihood of occurrence, and developing appropriate measures to control, limit, and finance the risk exposures. 
    • Develops and implements programs within organizational policies; reports major activities to executive level administrators.
    • Oversight of worker’s compensation claims, Drug & Alcohol Program, safety and new hire training.
    • Provides assistance to city departments and offices with employee related questions and issues and COVID administration.
    Minimum Qualifications:  Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a B.A. Degree in Risk management, Human Resource Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field; a minimum of three years of related experience; extensive knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations; workers compensation administration, HIPAA regulations;  American with Disabilities Act; Excellent organizational, interpersonal, decision making and computer skills; possess a valid Tennessee Driver’s License.

    The Metro Nashville/Davidson County Human Resources Department is seeking talented people interested in a career in public service for a position of Human Resource Analyst 2 – Classification/Compensation. The position performs moderately complex professional, technical, and analytical classification and compensation activities related to the maintenance of the Metro compensation system. The Compensation Analyst will research job requirements and evaluate job positions to ensure Metro is competitive in the areas of salaries.

    Typical Duties

    • Provide administrative support to Class Comp and data analytics teams.
    • Assess jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range.

    Education and Experience

    The City of Franklin is seeking applicants for the position of HR Generalist.  The position assists in administering human resource functions including recruitment and selection, employee tracking, wellness programs, and disciplinary procedures ensuring compliance with all government requirements and regulations as well as City policies. Administers leave in accordance with FMLA, state requirements, and City policies.  Key Competencies includes considerable knowledge of the policies, procedures, and activities of the City and personnel and hiring practices as they pertain to the performance of the duties of Human Resources Generalist.  Is knowledgeable of secretarial practices as necessary in the completion of daily responsibilities.  Must be very knowledgeable of benefits programs, and of insurance, unemployment, and workers compensation forms.  Should have experience conducting background checks and employment references. Has considerable knowledgeable of EEOC and ADA. Has comprehensive knowledge of the terminology, principles, and methods utilized within the department. Is knowledgeable and proficient with computers. 

    Education and Experience: The required knowledge, skill, and abilities to satisfactorily perform job duties are normally acquired through obtaining a Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year College or University plus two to three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    The City of Sevierville has an opening for a Human Resources Generalist.  The candidate will be responsible for, among other items) keeping employee records such as personal data, compensation, benefits and tax data. The candidate will also performs new employee orientation such as explaining benefits, City policies, generates and processes all new hire documentation for signatures.  The candidate will also be responsible for updating systems, employee files and files for outside vendors, i.e. TCRS, insurance companies, FSA Account, HSA Account, etc., with any personal changes and/or creates personnel action forms to provide information for payroll and other uses.

    The position requires an associate degree or the equivalent of two years of college or vocational experience in business or related field.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.     The TN Treasury Department has an open position for an Employer Reporting Specialist to serve East TN local government employers that participate in TCRS. The position will entail supporting payroll/employer reporting contacts at local governments as to how to submit their monthly data/contributions to TCRS. The candidate will also conduct annual census reviews for data that has been reported to TCRS, and work through data integrity and needed corrections with employers. 

    Qualifications:

    Greater Dickson Gas Authority (Natural/Propane Gas Distribution Company) is recruiting for an Assistant Director of Finance 

    The purpose of this classification is to direct, organize, implement and manage functions associated with accounting policies, practices, and procedures, and maintains all accounting records.  Assures financial reports and records conform to proper accounting principles. Under general supervision is responsible for the design and administration of the rates of the Authority to fully return the cost of service to produce a fair return and distribute costs equitably among customers of Greater Dickson Gas Authority. Reports to the Director of Finance.

    The Assistant Director of Finance must initially have an attitude to learn about the natural and propane gas industry. The Assistant Director of Finance must be capable of meshing with their peers in the workplace and work together when required. The Assistant Director of Finance must be capable of communicating his/her thoughts in a proper manner and display a congenial attitude in accepting assignments. The Assistant Director of Finance must work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures. The Assistant Director of Finance must work efficiently with little supervision.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    ·         Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting plus 3 – 5 years related experience in Governmental Accounting or 5-7 years related experience in General Accounting and at least one of the one of the following Certifications/Licenses:

    A.   Tennessee Certified Government Finance Manager (CGFM),

    B.   Tennessee Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO)

    C.   Tennessee Certified Municipal Finance Officer (CMFO)

    D.   Tennessee Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

    ·         Excellent interpersonal skills. 

    ·         Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Excel and Word

    ·         Demonstrated competency in any prominent Accounting Software 

    • Must be 18 years of age. 
    • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
    • Must have a valid Tennessee Driver's License.
    • The ability to use a computer keyboard effectively.

    ·         The ability to orally communicate by phone or person to person.

    ·         The ability to see/read money and/or printed material.

    ·         The ability to make decisions under pressure.
