The City of Sevierville has an opening for a Human Resources Generalist.  The candidate will be responsible for, among other items) keeping employee records such as personal data, compensation, benefits and tax data. The candidate will also performs new employee orientation such as explaining benefits, City policies, generates and processes all new hire documentation for signatures.  The candidate will also be responsible for updating systems, employee files and files for outside vendors, i.e. TCRS, insurance companies, FSA Account, HSA Account, etc., with any personal changes and/or creates personnel action forms to provide information for payroll and other uses.

The position requires an associate degree or the equivalent of two years of college or vocational experience in business or related field.  Bachelor’s degree preferred. SHRM Certificated Professional preferred.  Requires three to five years of experience in human resources, benefits administration, payroll or related business.
