The City of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee (Population 11,633) seeks a proactive, progressive and seasoned professional leader to serve as its new Director of Human Resources. This is a senior level management position and the Director reports to the City Administrator. Lawrenceburg is a full-service municipality, led by a five member City Council. The City has 136 full-time employees. The Director leads all Human Resources operations related to the City’s recruitment and retention, labor relations/personal matters, workers comp, employee benefits, pay and classification systems, workforce development and employee policies and procedures for approval. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field and at least 4 years of responsible professional experience in Human Resources/Personnel including 2 years at a supervisory or management level. Public sector experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the position will be considered.
The City has established a total compensation range of $54,080.00 to $60,195.00 with a very competitive benefits package commensurate with qualifications and experience. Typically, the City will hire qualified individuals at the mid-range level for a Director position.
