2021 TPMA October Membership Meeting

This is the TPMA October Membership meeting. The meeting will be held via ZOOM.

Our guest speakers will be Ms. Deb Finney, Education and Outreach Coordinator, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Mr. John Grubbs, Human Resources Consultant, UT-MTAS.

Ms. Finney's presentation will be and "EEOC Update on COVID".  The presentation will review EEOC position of discrimination and accommodation issues surrounding the COVID-19 Virus.  The presentation will also look at the EEOC's anticipated guidance on Long Term COVID being a disability.

John Grubbs presentation will be "Burnout and Employee Engagement". Feeling “burned out” is a common phrase today. We often envision highly paid executives, medical professionals, and over burdened front-liners when that phrase comes up. However, any one of us who serves the public can be burdened by this occupational phenomenon. In a recent survey conducted by the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley, 33% of all local government respondents showed symptoms of job burnout. Join us to discuss the impact of ‘emotional labor’ on employee engagement and retention 

There is no fee to attend the Membership meeting for members. The fee to attend for non-member is $15.00.
